"Words and writing will last, but the thoughts of it that touched and inspired one soul will stay forever in thier hearts. I am sure they will carry it in thier own journey of LIFE.." Be blessed!

"USE ME"

I've been counting the number of months I decided to leave my group whom with God's help the fruit of all my prayers Aubrey, Gemar, and Analyn. November 01, 2009 since I hand over the piece of paper of my decision to our Director Kuya caleb to  leave a missionary life of Campus Crusade for Christ & decided to work in a corporate world.
I am dishearted that moment, I cried, because it is a very tough decision that I need to make right away just to please &  help my family I give up my calling. I really prayed for it eventhough it is  hard for me.  I don't want to leave my disciples then. But in the end I realized.. They are Jesus disciples not mine. And God told me to just took good care of them and and let them know how much Jesus Christ love them and God is the one who will cause them to grow spiritually I am just an instrument.

Aubrey, Me, Analyn
I am glad, to see all of them on the second day of the Leadership Training Institute at Campus Crusade for Christ National office, Timog Quezon City. The four day training is indeed create also an impact to my life now. I am also one of those students in my college days, and could testify how God use also the training to set eternal mindset to the university students like me when I am at their age.
I really missed and love them and I know that they missed me and love me too and the proof is the warm embrace of the three of them Aubrey, Gemar, and Analyn . My heart is flattered, and I am excited to hear the unstoppable stories of thier life testimonies.
Gemar & Me
I have spend also quality time with my ex co-campus missonary Queen. We have enjoyed maybe to hours of our time just to hear our new updates in our current life in the corporate world. Like me, she decided to work for her family.I am really blessed that night that God gave me the chance to be with her. That night was like an unexpected reunion ofme, Mel, Queen, Aljay, and Argel...^_^. It is a pleasure to work with them.
I have also meet new sets of first year students, from different courses, new faces & personalities. I could conclude that all of them are fearfully and wonderfully made be our Creator. We have spend our time taking pictures.. laughing & even jumping for joy, I could still recall the Praise and Worship time. I could feel Gods presence.I know that He is happy too, ^_^ seeing His children enjoying their New Life in Christ!
CROSSING BORDERS the team of the Four day training!.. literary means - country to country.
Me, Richmond, Raymond, Sheila
I already crossed my own borders but for me the transition of my mission is from campus to marketplace "spreading the love of Christ to the workplace". I want to heed the call! aja! be with me Lord, use me. I just thought that are the students  who attended the LTI thought also of sharing their faith from one country to another? and for my self reflections question am I ready to heed Gods call and leave my comfort zone just to spread the gospel to what country God would send me?

New sets of first year students, w/ Richmond, Analyn, Aubrey
More! LTI's to come!... :) we want more transformed Lives Lord!..
I am excited to see more transformed lives in the PUP Campus and other campuses.

RESTLESS

I thought of You tonight,
It was 6:35 in the evening:
I hear the wind blowing,
I encountered silence,
Oh, silence inside
this four cornered room.

I wanna go home.
I don't wan't any overtime.
I just want to rest.
And spend time with Your
comforting hands.

Lord, do you hear me?
Do You count every words that comes
out of my mouth?
Am I complaining too much?
Am I not listening to Your advice?

I want to hear You,
I want to feel Your embrace again,
I want to hear Your still
small voice that says,
"Be still, for I am here"

Lord, sometimes, I am tired.
Please, give me enough strength,
I want to spend my whole day
enjoying Your presence.
And then whisper a prayer.
"Lord, give me courage to
get through this".

I am lonely, is this normal?
I am sure so would say,
"Yes! Princess 'cause you are human"
But Lord, till when?
Until we meet again?

Consume me with Your fire.
You held my hand, and help
me, endure the pains.
Thank You for You are
always at my side.
My Savior, Comforter
& the Master of my Life.

Looking for DESTINY?!

What comes in your mind when you read or hear the word DESTINY? Mr. Webster says that, “Destiny is fate; inevitable necessity; lot; or fortune”. When we ask the opinion of other people about it, most of them will answer “it is finding the right one for you”; obviously that someone is pertaining to a lady or a man. Well, they don’t mind about the appearance, for as long as they love the person they want to be with till the end, they really don’t mind a bit even the people around, mock them as if they don’t notice that they exist in their world. Sounds funny but true.
I guess that most of us girls is searching for our Prince charming, or some of the man who are seeking for the Princess that for them it is thier perfect match. But enough of it. Do you still believe that someday you will find your perfect match? like a Fairy Tale that always has the "HAPPY ENDING?"
If that “Destiny” comes in your way, do you feel it? Noticed or experienced? For some people, it is a thing that we made when we drop some sort of decisions, like choosing the one we love for the rest of their lives or the one we want to marry. It’s really the hardest decision we make because as said earlier, it’s like choosing your partner for a lifetime. So, it is too late for regrets.
Most of the people around the world think that they can change their own fate, and saddest part is, they don’t want to let God make their own destiny and the truth are that our right answers fail us. Definitely that is the reality we refused to learn. And the result, we hurt them and so our own self pushing to a wrong one.

Have you encounter a broken family because of a rush decisions? Because of letting the flesh take over love, thinking about it over and over it makes you go crazy. They don’t know that love is sacred as long as they take part of the culture, they don’t bother about the result. A baby that who is born unexpectedly, pregnancy sometimes leads to abortion. A tear fell off my eyes when I hear news that a fetus throws off the garbage, a little one that is too innocent for what is happening in our world. A mother that has no conscience doing this is immoral. For my own opinion, if they don’t want to become parents to their child, you have to think before doing that pleasure.

You know what? Yes you! God want what is the best for you, if you let the will of God pass your way then wait for the right one. Don’t lose hope waiting for the right man or lady for you. Know what? It pays to wait upon the Lord.
God is busy preparing that someone or maybe he/she is right there beside you.God is waiting for the right timing He design, for you to have His special gift for you. When God knows that both of you are ready. He will grant what you are praying for a very long period of time.

I want you to know this; God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life that He gave Jesus died in the cross for our sins. We need to admit and confess to God that we are sinners. And let God take over the driver seat of our lives. Let Him guide our way, even to the point of rocky road we encounter.
And pertaining to our destiny? Trust God in writing the best loves story of our lives. Isn’t it exciting? If God directing our way? And not ours hold our own dull fate, resulting to discord and frustration?
Come to think of it. God made us and He knows not only the better but the best for us. God don’t want a broken family, imperfect relationship and crash lives but He wants us to have what is perfect because God is perfect. In short, God want us to be perfect. (Matthew 5:48 “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”)

Let me share to you this, a text message that is passed to me. It says “Don’t rush into fallen in love, for love never runs out! Even if they mock you coz you are single, just tell them ‘God is just busy writing the best loves story for me’.” It’s nice to hear right? So be prepared. And be still.

Let me share to you another one. This is one of my favorite songs. I love the rendition and most especially the lyrics sang by the band Barlow girl entitled “AVERAGE GIRL” the lyrics goes this way: “So what I’m not your average girl, I don’t meet the standards of this world. Chasing after boys is not my thing. See I’m waiting for a wedding ring. No more dating, I’m just waiting like sleeping beauty; my prince will come for me. No more dating, I’m just waiting, ‘cause God is writing my love story. Boys are bad that’s certainly not true ‘cause God’s preparing one for you. If you get tired waiting till he comes Gods arms are the perfect place to run. Sleep, that’s the only thing for me, ‘coz when I sleep Gods preparing one for me.”

For me being single is not big deal. It’s ok that you are single. Well, I really don’t care. But the most exciting part of waiting for Mr. Right? Fewer mistakes, less pain and less regrets. Love God first, so that you will forget the word “TIRED” of waiting.
Or, if you have a boyfriend right now, fiancée/fiancé, or engage. It is your chance to pray for one another, keep on asking to God that you want to be married to him/her. Let God know how sincere you are. Commit also your purity and commitment to Him. And you would be amazed how faithful God is because of your sacrifices just to honor Him. And let your expectant heart rejoice!.
God says: “Marinel, Smile, dream big and live life to the fullest coz I am with you always.”
You! The one who is reading this; I encourage you to try to say to yourself the same thing.
Your name, Smile, dream big and live life to the fullest coz I am with you always.”God said. ^_^

God Bless..
Thank you for reading this topic. Hope this one inspire you.

"Wonderfully Made"

Maybe some of you are wondering what my speech last (October 13, 2010-Wednesday) that’s it! To be honest with you that was the complete draft of my speech. And I planned to glance it "hopefully" as I speak that night, but then it didn't happen. I felt that when I stand in front of the audience as if I forget about my plan and continued to shared my life.

"Wonderfully Made"

“A pleasant evening everyone. I stand in front of you tonight to share to you the wonderful things about me, my family background about my hobbies and likes and my Christian faith.

Who am I? Maybe some of you ask it for yourself when you get along with me in the passed meetings here on TOPS, and this is the opportunity for you discover more about me. Many times, my name is always mispronounced as Maribel or Maridel, they told me “you are Mariel right?! Huh? I know you are Marilyn, well, what a very funny guess, but I will never forget someone called me Marinette on my 19th birthday. He was sharing appreciation for me that time and said in front of my guess “What is your name again? You are Marinette right? “My face turned like this? And then I ask him, what? Marinette? You are the only person that called me Marinette? Where do you get that? He just laughed but I got disappointed that’s why I still remember that event. But, I forgive them and thank God that I have a very unique name.
By the way, this is how unique God created me; I am a product of a broken family. My mom and Dad got separated when I am young, I have an older brother, and a younger sister, I am the middle child, I am not sure of the exact date when he left us; I haven’t seen his picture as well that’s why I do not have an idea what he look like, but I missed him despite of his shortcoming.
Even though, I have of broken family, my life goes on, I took it as a challenge and inspiration to study even harder that’s why I with the degree of Bachelor in Science Information Technology at Polytechnic University of the Philippines last 2009, and currently I am working at I-Map Websolutions, IT Company.
I am finished about my background, now what are my hobbies? During my past time I am love books, composing a poem, and writing in my blog site, taking picture and collecting them as well. My favorite hang out is at Manila bay where I could spend some time for myself and let my imagination travel as I watch the beautiful sunset.  I love music, I sing and played guitar when I am in the mood to do so. I enjoyed being alone sometimes because I spend, some thinking time for myself and to enjoy Gods presence. I enjoy staying inside my room to read and write what comes out in my mind.
Lets me share to you about my Christian faith, as I reminisce to thee past 21 years of my life, many things have changed, the way I talk, I walk and my view about life. What is my secret? Of having a joyful living despite of struggles, disappointments and trials, or brokenness? It is the everlasting love of God.  My life became meaningful when someone shared to me about the LOVE of Jesus Christ, His forgiveness, grace and mercy to an unworthy person like me.

I know Him yes! That time, but I know God didn’t want me to just know Him by name, but He want me to have an intimate relationship to Him. Until I prayed and accept Him as my personal Savior and Lord last, November 7, 2003. I found the love that I am seeking many years ago, the love that is found in Jesus Christ alone. For me, to transformation is not happened over night but I indeed go through different trials that refine me into a joyful person what I am today.
In my college days, I have joined at Campus Crusade for Christ Organization till now I am still connected with them, we shared our faith to the student in the campus; I spread the love of Christ that I experience also in my life and told them about my personal testimony.  After I graduated I choose to heed the call for 6months as a volunteer campus missionary in my Alma Matter, to lead and inspire the students become leaders of this generation, for me leading students is a lifetime commitment.
I am now;  standing in front of you, proudly say that although I have a broken family, am not broken anyway, coz God made me whole, & God made my broken family complete with His love,  my broken heart become brand new, because of His amazing greatness and love. I am now fulfilled, secure, not just happy but joyful in Gods hands.
I have many aliases, but what makes Marinel unique? It is because God assure me as He said in his word in Psalms 139:14 that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by Him, and I am His Princess, you are too, fellow toastmasters and guest, and for general evaluators! God would always remind us that trials and being broken is His one way to humble us, and strengthen our faith to Him for us to see that we cannot do anything on our own and that we could acknowledged that have a Daddy God up there that we could look up in times of our brokenness. God use my brokenness for me to experience Him and Love Him with an undivided Heart. God loves all of you also, fellow toastmasters and guest good evening!”

MY INITIATION

Rushing, running, reading, I am riding in a bus going to my first initiation.. I am excited. I am ready! I cheered up myself! “Marinel, calm down, everything would be fine”I smiled. I walked confidently as I entered at Makati Stock Exchange building, where the TOPS Toastmasters family meet ups.

My adrenalin rushed, I am really pursuing not to be late in my initiation.. I entered the elevator, I am praying. "Lord, please help me”. As I entered at the Penthouse I am shocked, because I saw many guys in the room and I thought that I was in the wrong room. I hesitate to come in but I took the courage to .I was ashamed, I saw that all of them are men.

After a couple of minutes, visitors and guest came in. And Mr. President Mr. Jef Menguin started the meeting with a prayer. The team for the night is UNITED NATIONS where we need to describe and share to each other our favorite country, BAHRAIN, CHINA, 3 SWITZERLAND, ISRAEL, BRAZIL etc. are the countries being presented. The way of presenting it is as if you are at their favorite place to visit in. Amazing! As if I go through a very long travel.  After table topics lead by Ms. Jean Lim, she is the one also that who introduced me in our guest and fellow toasmasters. As she said it with her beautiful introduction that "I AM AMBASSADOR from heaven"... It is very uplifting as I stepped and stand in front of them and shared to them my “ICE BREAKER SPEECH” my whole life, I just said, I can do it and this is MY INITIATION.

Mr. Nome Gilongos
After, the speech we need to be evaluated and I just want to thank God, for Mr. Nomel Gilongos presence, who is our general evaluator for the night.I am s inspired to deliver more speech in the future as he commend me with these words from him "Your speech is, open and sincere"... at the same time I thank him for the things that I've learned that night, and the things that I need to improve on that I need to organized my speech and list only 3 of the main points, for me not to lapsed in my designated time.
Mr. Lui Banta
Ms. Jean Lim
"Inspiring, profound"
These are the words, that Mr. Lui Banta, It is my honor to be evaluated by our Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) on TOPS. I thank him also for the effort of noting all my flaws. At least I am now aware of it and hoping that I will never commit the same mistakes on my second speech.

I want to extend my gratitude also for Ms. Jean Lim, Mr. Jef as our evaluator at the same time grammarian. I    appreciate also Ms. Carmen’s enthusiasm to watch our time; I have mine computation 7.56secs for my 4-7mins ice breaker speech. I could say, I regret for the lapsed of time I committed, 56secs is not okay hehe. And to Mr. Ralph, that who call me NELS last night, thank you for being our "Ah"counter, based on his recored I committed 8 Ahs, 2 Uhms, and 1 repeated words, it made me more aware next time.

Mr.Jef Menguin

I really enjoyed the night, as I      experienced once again the exciting   and unique meeting with my TOPS TOASMASTERS FAMILY. Pleased joinme on my upcoming 9 speeches. I am so excited for the new techniques that I may learn from my fellow TOASMASTERS.

My respond to the tagline "It is my initiation and I cry if I need to.."
Well, for me I don't need to cry but instead I chose to be thankful, because
I indeed valued evaluation, and my evaluators as well, I learned from my mistakes with their help, I know I would be a better speaker someday.

This is AMBASSADOR MARINEL, at your service.:) God bless!

TOASMASTERS!

Terrified..? Nervous? I am confused? I cannot define
what I really feel right now. It is 5:50pm in the evening
1hour & 10mins before I deliver my first speech
I prayed "Lord give me wisdom so that I could inspire my audience."
I want to pour out my heart in my speech as I deliver it enthusiastically..
Tonight is my first speech on TOPS TOASTMASTERS.. I have already made my drafts ahead of time, maybe a week before this the event tonight, recorded the speech and rearrange the thoughts. I know that I am well prepared, but at the back of my mind it says "no you are not". Lord, forgive me for being pessimistic, please give me strength to      front of my fellow toastmasters.and be with me as I step through my first initiation.

"I am unsatisfied with my speech". This is the last words that I dropped to
one of the members of TOPS. But I know I could do it!
I know I could inspire my audience.. Because you remind me LORD that you are the main subject of my speech.. Love you so much Lord, and thank You for the encouragement.

AJA!

So help me God!
